Jentadueto is used to control blood sugar levels in individuals with Type 2 Diabetes by decreasing glucose production in the liver and regulating insulin levels the body produces after meals. Jentadueto contains a combination of Metformin and Linagliptin (generic version of Tradjenta).
Jentadueto is taken orally as often as prescribed by the doctor, usually 1-2 times a day with meals. The dosage takes into consideration the body’s glucose level, reception to the treatment, and other medications one might be taking.
Take the Jentadueto at the same time everyday with water. Drink lots of fluids while taking this medication. In the case of missing a dose, take it as soon as remembered unless close to the next scheduled dose. Otherwise, skip the missed dose and continue the regular dosing schedule. Avoid double dosing or making up for missed doses as the body has to get used to the consistent regulation of the blood glucose levels. Jentadueto must be swallowed whole— do not break or chew tablet.
